An organization is only as successful and powerful as its team, which is why at NATIV Hotel, we pride ourselves on the professionalism of our staff. This edition of Employee Spotlight features interviews with two of the most renowned members on our team — Lauren Hanna and Chelsea Nordstrom.
As the Corporate and Events Manager, Lauren Hanna is responsible for organizing all of the special events held at NATIV Hotel. Lauren is a Colorado native and CSU alumni holding bachelor’s degree in communications. She takes great care in planning everything from Happy Hour specials to Wedding events. Lauren’s outgoing character and strong work ethic makes her an invaluable member of the organization.
Before working at NATIV Hotel, what was the most interesting job you had?
LAUREN: I have been a professional dancer within the pro sports industry in Denver for 10 years now. From the NLL to the NBA to the NFL – it has been a life changing experience – I am lucky enough to be able to live my dream as a professional dancer while holding my full time job as the Corporate and Events Manager at NATIV Hotel.
What do you like most about working at NATIV Hotel?
LAUREN: I love working with my clients and also meeting new clients on a daily basis. It is such a pleasure helping to create memories for guests and to help guide my clients with a vision of their perfect event. Whether their event is a Corporate Holiday Party or a Wedding Reception, my goal is to create the best possible experience for anyone planning their event and seeing their vision come to life.
What is your favorite part about living in Colorado?
LARUEN: I love being outdoors – this is what Colorado is all about – the incredible weather and opportunities to do things outside. Hiking, camping, golfing, skiing and lodging are a few of my favorite outdoor activities. I also love all sporting events within Denver as well. We have such a connected city within the professional sports/teams in Denver and I love being a part of it all!
Where is your favorite place in the world?
LAUREN: Dubrovnik, Croatia. I lived in Czech Republic and Greece for a little over a year, two years ago and definitely took advantage of traveling from country to country while I was there. Croatia is the most gorgeous country I have ever been to simply because everywhere you turn, the scenery completely changes. You feel like you are in a different place mile-to-mile. From the rocky beaches, to the incredible architecture, to the fortresses- there is never a dull moment in this city. I recommend anyone wanting to travel to visit there!
Chelsea Nordstrom, the talented woman behind the bar at Stereo Lounge, delivers stellar service during the venue’s busiest nights. Like all of the staff at NATIV Hotel, Chelsea’s contributions to customer satisfaction and the ongoing success of the organization don’t go unnoticed. While she was selected for this article due to her outstanding job performance over the past year, it’s her charismatic personality and positive attitude that really makes her shine at NATIV Hotel.
CHELSEA: I think NATIV is a game changer for Denver. It’s almost like a small piece of Vegas dropped down in the middle of the city. My favorite night at NATIV had to be when we had DJ Pauly D on the decks. He brought a lot of energy and had a truly amazing set.
